I don’t normally do this but, this app is brilliant. It allows you to track, live your GPS location and save the route traversed back in a number of formats plus use someone else’s route as a track to follow. But the killer bit is: you can download all the mapping data (road, OS etc) beforehand on WiFi. Full of win for walkers/cyclers/drivers/skiers etc.

Voicemail →
So your mobile carrier doesn’t support Apple’s ‘game-changing’ visual voicemail service? no problem! Voicemail is exactly the same service using Ribbit to complement your carrier, furthermore you get voice transcription and email, Skype or chat notification! The app is free, it works online, offline and natively on your iOS, Android or Blackberry device. All you need is a...

So I created a place to collect and publish mobile web-apps that run ‘natively’ in iOS etc. I challenged myself to release an app a day for a week and, do you know what? I did it (nearly). Check it out.

Those of yo that use the barclay bike hire scheme will have been there. Turn up to destination, find a docking station FULL… trundle to next docking station FULL… and so on. Whatthedock.com is here to help. Made for your mobile browser it’ll plot parking availability in your local area using your phones GPS or mast triangulation. Clever stuff!

Tampr.co.uk Crowdsourcing Coffee →
We all have needs. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I like introducing people to my favourite coffee houses but sometimes I find myself in distant lands with not much to guide me. So Jon Robson and I set about creating tampr to record, discuss rate and be rated in the world of coffee.

Ribbit Conferencing in TiddlyWiki
Something I did before I left for my holiday was build a quick and very dirty Ribbit conferencing plugin for popular, atomic-scale, wiki platform TiddlyWiki to hold a conference for up to twenty participants. It imitates the Ribbit for Google Wave plugin written by Kevin Marks some time ago.
Example at http://rconference.tiddlyspot.com

Wordpress isn't working out...
I’ve had a wordpress blog for a long time, I don’t write there… it takes too long. So expect this part of the world to be short, sharp and to the point with more of a focus on technological tomfoolery than pontification.
